YOUNG LOTUS : 36 UP-AND-COMING CREATIVES WILL JOIN ADFEST’s YOUNG LOTUS WORKSHOP, HOSTED BY OGILVY
Eighteen creative teams, representing
eighteen cities will take part in this year’s Young Lotus Workshop at ADFEST in
Pattaya, Thailand, hosted for the second time by Ogilvy, under the theme, Dear
Advertising, you used to be funny.
The Young Lotus teams will first enjoy a
series of talks and workshops hosted by Ogilvy’s creative, strategy and
planning leaders. Next, they’ll receive a real brief for real client – with
just 24 hours to meet the deadline.
The Workshop, that
will run Tuesday 19 – Thu 21 March, is divided into two halves. The first half
is dedicated to talks and lectures by leading industry professionals. In the
second half, attendees will work in teams on a 24-hour creative brief and
present it to the Young Lotus committee.
Finalist teams will then
present on stage in front of delegates at the Ogilvy Presents Young
Lotus Workshop 2024: Dear Advertising, you used to be funny session on
Saturday 23 March at 11.50-13.00 and delegates will get to cast their
votes for their favourite team to determine Popular Vote winner.
Julia Hou, Group
Executive Creative Director at Ogilvy Beijing and South China Offices, is
one of this year’s Young Lotus mentors. She commented, “Creativity is all about
communication, it's the result of people constantly bumping into each other and
sharing their feelings. By communicating through courses and the competition
where everyone is together, we can discover the most fun parts of advertising.”
Supparat Thepparat,
Executive Creative Director at Ogilvy Bangkok, another distinguished mentor

fun."
The Young Lotus Workshop 2024 is a
two-and-a-half-day workshop designed to fast-track the careers of up-and-coming
young creative teams across the region. It is one of the industry’s
longest-running mentoring programs, providing the next generation of
advertising leaders with valuable hands-on, practical experience since 2004.
The program is open to advertising professionals aged 30 and under, with teams
selected by local representatives in markets across the region.
