We believe education should focus on the individual, not the category. Yokohama City Special Support School for the Visually Impaired embodies this philosophy, tailoring every lesson to the unique character and vision of its students.\r<br> \r<br>To share this vision, we created an experimental poster series. We asked students with visual impairments to describe how they \"see\" five universal motifs in their minds: Mt. Fuji, the Statue of Liberty, the Pyramids, Earth, and the Universe. Their words were then brought to life by illustrator Ai Shinomiya, who used experimental materials like masking tape and plastic wrap. The resulting visuals were extraordinary—shattering the rigid, \"correct\" perceptions held by the sighted world.\r<br> \r<br>The titles, such as \"My Own Statue of Liberty,\" feature a unique layout and typography inspired by Braille. By integrating Braille logic into the visual design, we expressed diversity through the very structure of the language itself.\r<br> \r<br>Our challenge was to prove that there is no single correct way to “see” the world.
