  • ENGLISH SYNOPSIS :
IT’S 103 SECONDS FILM IN WHICH TWO FRENCH CHEFS COOK GENUINE FRENCH CUISINE USING THE HEAT INSIDE A CAR AND THE CAR BODY HEATED BY THE HOT SUMMER SUN. DRIVING A CLASSIC 1973 TOYOTA CORONA MARK II VAN DELUXE, THE TWO CHEFS HEAD FOR THE BEACH IN MIDSUMMER. THEY START COOKING WHEN IT REACHES THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE OF THE DAY, AND BAKE A CHICKEN SAUTÉ WITH CAST-IRON PAN ATTACHED UNDER THE SEAT. THEN, THEY MAKE RATATOUILLE WITH A PAN INSIDE THE DASHBOARD, CRISP BACON IN THE HEATED FOIL, AND SO ON. BECAUSE SUMMER OF JAPAN IS VERY HOT, THE CLIENT "JMS", THE THIRD BIGGEST AUTO CAR PART SHOP CHAIN IN JAPAN, DECIDED TO OFFER "COOL DRIVE" SERVICES FOR COMFORTABLE DRIVING WITH A COOLER ENVIRONMENT.
  • ENGLISH CONTEXT EXPLANATION :
RECENTLY, THE SUMMER TEMPERATURE IN JAPAN IS BECOMING DRAMATICALLY HIGH AND HUMID. THE AIM OF THIS FILM IS TO EXPAND THE RECOGNITION OF “COOL DRIVE” CAMPAIGN HELD BY JMS; THE AUTO CAR PART SHOP, OFFERING SERVICES AND ITEMS TO MAKE INSIDE OF A CAR MORE COMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT. WE CAME UP WITH THE IDEA “HOT DRIVE” TO MAKE THE JAPANESE ENJOY THE HOT WEATHER FASHIONABLY INSTEAD OF ENDURING IT. WE MADE THE WHOLE MOVIE WITH FRENCH CINEMA STYLE IN ORDER TO MAKE IT ATTRACTIVE FOR THE JAPANESE PEOPLE. WITH FRENCH CUISINE, FRENCH CASTS, AND FRENCH JOKES WE SUCCESSFULLY MADE THE FILM AS IF WE HAVE SHOT IN FRANCE, BUT THE WHOLE MOVIE WAS ACTUALLY SHOT IN THE RURAL AREA IN JAPAN, AND WE WERE ABLE TO SHOOT WITHIN TEN MILLION YEN OF PRODUCTION COST.

  • BACKGROUND OVERVIEW :
AS THE LARGEST LIVE STREAMING SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM IN CHINA, TENCENT VIDEO IS ALWAYS LOOKING TO COMMUNICATE WITH CONSUMERS IN NEW WAYS. WE CREATED A TANGIBLE AND ACCESSIBLE JOURNEY OF TIME AND MEMORIES. IN A 36 SQUARE METERS SPACE, 66 PANORAMIC 3D CAMERAS WERE CAREFULLY ARRANGED. WHEN VISITORS WALKED IN, THEY COULD PICK A FAVORITE MOVIE OR SHOW ON TENCENT VIDEO AND WATCH IT. THE CAMERAS CAPTURED EVEN THE SLIGHTEST MOVEMENTS WITHIN A SPLIT SECOND. THEN THEIR APPEARANCE AND THE CHERISHED MOMENT WOULD BE CONVERTED INTO 3D DATA BY CLOUD COMPUTING. IN THE END, 39 MOMENTS WERE SELECTED FROM THOUSANDS OF UNIQUE EXPRESSIONS AND WERE 3D-PRINTED INTO WHITE SCULPTURES INSIDE HOURGLASSES. THESE HOURGLASSES WERE 1.2 METERS IN HEIGHT AND WERE DISPLAYED IN A LARGE INSTALLATION 60 METERS IN LENGTH AND 2.5 METERS IN HEIGHT. WHITE SAND FLOWING DOWN FROM THE UPPER HALF OF THE HOURGLASS SEEMS TO HAVE FORMED THE SCULPTURE BELOW. REVEALING EACH VISITOR IN A PERFECT MOMENT OF FROZEN TIME. BRING THOSE UNIQUE REACTIONS BACK TO LIFE AND ENSURING THAT GREAT MOMENTS CAN LAST FOREVER.
