FESTIVAL: SAVE THE DATE: ADFEST 2019 RUNS FROM 20TH TO 23ND MARCH WITH THE THEME “TMRRW.TDAY”

ADFEST is pleased to announce the dates and theme for next year’s festival, which will be held at the Royal Cliff Hotels Group, Pattaya, Thailand from Wednesday 20th March to Saturday 23rd March 2019.

 

ADFEST 2019 will again be divided into two streams: Craft@ADFEST on 20th – 21st March and Creative@ADFEST on 22nd – 23rd March.

 

“Craft@ADFEST is dedicated to craft and technology, highlighting the latest production, digital, content and technology trends. Creative@ADFEST is all about creativity – the DNA of ADFEST – and will focus on inspiring and pushing the boundaries of the creative and communications industry in the Asia Pacific and MENA region,” explains Jimmy Lam, President of ADFEST.

 

Next year’s theme, “TMRRW.TDAY”, was devised by Eric Cruz, Executive Creative Director of AKQA in Shanghai in collaboration with the ADFEST Collective, an advisory body made up of leading creative professionals that advises the ADFEST Working Committee.

 

Our industry today is too cautious so ‘TMRRW.TDAY’ is about resetting our skills and being braver. Next year’s festival will inspire people to create new values. Throw out the old. Start anew. Experiment. Build our skills. The future will happen if we take control today,” says Cruz. 

 

The ADFEST 2019 identity is designed by a talented team from TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno, led by Melvin Mangada, one of the most influential creatives in Philippine advertising. Mangada was Jury President of Design Lotus and Print Craft Lotus at ADFEST 2018.


“We took inspiration from the passing of time to bring the theme, ‘TMRRW.TDAY’, to life. We’ve created a few variations of the logo to mimic the ticking hands of a clock – it’s our way of showing that TDAY meets TMRRW at ADFEST 2019,” says Mangada, who is Chief Creative Officer of TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno.

 

ADFEST is a non-profit-making entity that believes passionately in its role to nurture and support the creative industry in the Asia Pacific and MENA region.
