BANGKOK: ADFEST is pleased to announce that Christopher Lee Ball will present two potentially career-changing ADFEST + D&AD Workshops next month in Thailand at ADFEST 2016.

The first ADFEST + D&AD workshop is called, ‘A Day in the Life of your Digital Strategy’, co-empowered by CREATIVELAND ASIA and Leo Digital Network’. This workshop takes place on Thursday 17th March from 2:30pm to 4:45pm.

Sponsored byCREATIVELAND ASIA and Leo Digital Network, this workshop takes a hypothetical brief for a hypothetical client and helps workshop participants to crack it in real time.

Bell will guide people through the main stages of the creative process from conception, through formulation, to implementation. He will share with ADFEST delegates useful tools and techniques to smooth that journey. Finally, the most exciting (and daunting) part: he will invite everybody to present ideas to their fellow delegates.

“At least, that’s the theory. In practice a professional development course with me is hopefully going to leave you with a lot more than the knowledge of how to formulate and implement digital marketing strategy. I’m hoping people will also pick up something of the passion that I have for digital,” says Ball.

The second ADFEST + D&AD WORKSHOP is called, Designing for Mobile’, which takes place on Friday 18th March 2016 from 2:30pm to 4:45pm.

‘Designing for Mobile’is an interactive workshop, which aims to give delegates at ADFEST some quick insights, tools, and techniques for creating great mobile experiences. Some of the questions Ball will answer include: What does it mean to be ‘mobile’? What is the process for designing for mobile? When should I create a responsive experience and when should I create an app? What are key considerations when designing for mobile? And, what are some great mobile examples?

Both of the ADFEST + D&AD workshops are brought to you by Creativeland Asia and LEO Digital Network. The workshops are ideal for: creative professionals; account people and planners; marketers; anyone who wishes to understand how to conceive and implement a digital strategy; and anyone who is employed in a digital agency. The workshops are also suited to those who have not had experience working in digital and now need to understand its potential; or, anyone who is keen to embrace the digital age and understand the unlimited marketing and promotional possibilities it offers.

According to Ball: “Digital is not a channel or a process. It’s an attitude and a mindset. I’m really looking forward to sharing my passion for digital with this year’s delegates at ADFEST.”

Ball cut his design teeth creating new digital products for Thompson Reuters in New York City. After earning a masters in film theory in London in 2006, he was one of the lead designers of the YouView (nee Canvas) IPTV platform for the BBC and its partner broadcasters.
In 2009 he joined DigitasLBi, and is currently the Head of UX for DigitasLBi UK.

In his spare time, Ball writes fiction and dabbles in film production: some of his short documentaries were commissioned directly by the BBC. His passion is storytelling and crafting meaningful journeys for his clients and customers.
