PRESS RELEASE
SPEAKERS: EXPLORE THE ROLLERCOASTER OF EMOTIONS WITH FITCH – A SPEAKER SESSION & WORKSHOP AT ADFEST 2016
BANGKOK: ADFEST is pleased to announce that Darren Watson, Executive Creative Director, Asia Pacific and Greater China at FITCH, is joining ADFEST 2016 both as a speaker and to host a workshop called ‘Explore the Rollercoaster of Emotions’.

On Wednesday 16th March at 12.15pm, Watson will host a session demonstrating how powerful human connections through experiences can bring people and brands closer together. He will also showcase successful experiences including Nike Rise, which harnessed the passion of a new generation of Chinese basketball players, to Merrell’s use of Virtual Reality, and M&M’s World Store in Shanghai, which turns a candy store into a theatrical experience.

“Emotions differentiate humans from other living things. They make us unpredictable, impulsive and endlessly interesting. They are part of what makes humans, human. Our emotions also make us an endlessly frustrating group of people for brands trying to stand out and connect. But it can be done – brands can use experiences to create emotional connections that are playful and thought-provoking and unlock the human element essential to success in physical and digital brand interactions,” says Watson.

On Thursday 17th March, from 10:45am to 1pm, Watson and a team from FITCH will also host a workshop to build upon the previous day’s session. The workshop will begin with an exploration of the emotional journey we're all on. Participants will then be asked to propose an agenda that aims to understand what drives us day to day to excel. Time will be spent in groups exploring ways to connect and develop a bolder emotional intelligence.

Watson creatively directs FITCH’s Omni-channel experience offer for FITCH in APAC region. He is behind the agency’s award-winning creative strategy for Asian Paints in India and 'VIVID Homes' for B&Q in China – a new home décor concept piloted in Shanghai, which has been awarded various innovation awards and the recent Toshiba technology in retail accolade.

Registration to the FITCH workshop is free, however interested applicants must register in advance by completing this Registration Form (downloadable here) and sending to krit@ADFEST.com. Please note that registration is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation
notification from ADFEST.
