BANGKOK: The Working Committee of ADFEST has announced the formation of the ADFEST Collective, a group of senior peers from the creative advertising and production industries in Asia Pacific, which will help advise on the development of ADFEST for the future.

The group will draw its strength from invited individuals in the creative industry each year. It will join Vinit Suraphongchai, Chairman of the Working Committee and Jimmy Lam, President of ADFEST and use the combined expertise and experience of each year's participants to innovate content and steer the vision and strategic direction for ADFEST.

Says Vinit Suraphongchai, Chairman of the ADFEST Working Committee, “As a non-profit-making organisation, ADFEST has always been owned by its audience and participants. We welcome this group of friends as executive members, who will help us to ensure that the festival evolves and refreshes its content every year. It is critical to our success that we continue to reflect the needs and developments of the people who attend and support ADFEST and look to it for ideas, learning, encouragement, connections and a celebration of the fantastic works that are produced in the region year after year.”

Joining the ADFEST Collective this year are five executive members: Akira Kagami, former Executive Advisor & Global Executive Creative Advisor of Dentsu Inc. and now Founder & President of Dentsu New School as well as Executive Advisor of Drill Inc. in Tokyo, David Guerrero, Chairman and CCO of BBDO Guerrero/Proximity Philippines in Manila, George Mackenzie, Managing Director of Robber’s Dog Production Company in Auckland, Ravi Deshpande, Chairman & Chief Creative Officer of Contract Advertising in Mumbai, Ted Lim, Chief Creative Officer of Leo Burnett Singapore.

Jimmy Lam, President of ADFEST stated, “ADFEST was born of a passion for the great works that have been, are and will be produced in Asia Pacific. The ADFEST Collective will champion that passion and help us extend the ADFEST legacy, to ensure it is always embraced fairly and fully and in the most relevant way for our supporters, friends and peers.”

The ADFEST Collective will meet regularly to add its input initially to the organisation for the 16th Asia Pacific Advertising Festival, which will take place at PEACH (Pattaya Exhibition and Conference Hall), The Royal Cliff Hotels Group, Pattaya, Thailand from 17-19 March 2013.
