PUNEET KAPOOR

EXECUTIVE CREATIVE DIRECTOR

MCCANN WORLDGROUP

BANGALORE

Puneet Kapoor is one of the well-travelled creative directors in the Indian advertising circuit. From working with the biggest agencies in India across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore to running an entrepreneurial venture with a start-up agency, he’s tried it all. Despite nearly two decades with top international networks including McCann, Ogilvy, Leo Burnett and BBH, and key wins at all major award shows including India’s first-ever Grand Prix Outdoor at New York Fest in 2005, Kapoor still feels that he’s just getting started. He says that these are the most exciting times with the constantly changing and evolving landscape of the communication world that demands you to be a child-like learner always.

Having spent the last two years at the Mumbai McCann office as ECD and winning a string of Effies and international awards, Puneet took up the challenging task of helming the creative at McCann India’s Bangalore office, with the ambition of making Bangalore as happening as the Mumbai and Delhi offices which together have been one of the most creative agencies offices in India. Puneet believes that with the strong presence of all the new-age techy brands, Bangalore is the next best destination for an ideas revolution to happen.

Kapoor has been instrumental with his teams behind some great work on Perfetti, Coca-cola Company, Marico Industries, Western Union Money Transfer, Unilever, Heinz India, Myntra, Bankbazaar.com and Asian Paints to name a few. His burst bubble outdoor done for Big Babol swept many metals across award shows including the Grand Prix at New York Fest in 2005.

Kapoor acknowledges, “It’s the fabulous people, the co-conspirators, you work with and the great conversations that lead to the great ideas” Kapoor has won much recognition over the course of his career in both Indian and worldwide creative awards. His accolades include nominations and metals at the ADFEST, Cannes, Clios, One Shows, FAB, LIA, Kyoorius, Abbys, Effies and AAAI.
