This is affecting the quality of people entering the business, the morale of those currently working in it, the time we have to create great work, the budgets we have to deliver it and most importantly, the confidence needed to be original, push for great work and defend it at every turn. At BBDO we believe that although technology and innovation are changing our world, creating ideas that engage consumers in a conversation to create action hasn't, and there lies the challenge – how do we continue to create and protect great ideas with all the noise going on around us? BBDO Asia is the most awarded network for creativity and effectiveness across the region over the past three years. We will explore what principles we have put in place, which processes we have implemented and what we have had to compromise on to achieve this. The talk will encompass people and culture, process and tools, relationships and management as well as some observations on what we can do as an industry to increase our hit rate in creating better work.

Jean-Paul began his career with JWT London in 1998 and has been with BBDO since 2004. He has worked in London, Bangkok, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Singapore managing key offices and accounts such as Nestlé, Shell, ABN AMRO, Unilever and FedEx. In 2007 he was appointed MD then CEO of BBDO Singapore and was then promoted to President South East Asia in 2010. In early 2015, Jean-Paul was appointed Chairman and CEO of BBDO Asia. Under his leadership BBDO is the most awarded network for creativity and for effectiveness in the region.
