Internet FilmEligible works must be worked created for internet film, website, email, mobile devices.
Portfolio SpotWorks directed for the purpose of building a director’s reel without a client or on-air broadcast.
Film SchoolEligible works must be films created for school projects.
Short Films for ADFEST 2016 by the Fabulous FourND07 is a non-entry fee basis. Eligible entrants submit scripts under the ADFEST theme where only 4 selected scripts will notified for production and premiere at ADFEST 2016 at the Fabulous Four session. Lotus RootsThis is an award unique to ADFEST that is awarded to works that embody local values whether in terms of culture, religion, beliefs, traditions, or language. Lotus Roots recognizes works that preserve and celebrate the rich heritage and value of each local culture.
Only one party
may enter a particular work into a given sub-category. It must be agreed in
advance between the parties concerned. If a work is entered twice in the same
sub-category, ADFEST will accept the first entry submitted.
Each advertisement constitutes
one entry. Advertisement which forms a campaign will be entered and paid
for as single entries, e.g. 3 ads which form a campaign must be entered and
paid for as 3 separate entries, but can be shown consecutively. Individual
teaser ads are not eligible.
Director Lotus entries, unless stated otherwise, ADFEST requires either
Original Media Schedule from Media Agency or Original Client Endorsement letter
in client’s letterhead as proof of authenticity for each entry submission.
reserves the right to disqualify entries that fail to provide required
documentations. Advertisements that have been run purely to make
them eligible for competition will be disqualified and the submitting
organization may be banned from ADFEST competitions for a period of 3
Organizer reserves the right to move entries to more appropriate Lotus category
which might offend national or religious sentiments or public taste will not be

Lotus categories are open to Directors throughout Asia and the
Pacific, including Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East.

must be based in the region regardless of where the entry was aired. Works
created for clients in the region, but by directors based elsewhere are not
submitted must be one of the first 7 works commercially directed by

Film School, entries must be part of a film school project.

January 2014 and 31st December 2015 (in the past 2 years).
Film, which may or may not have been commissioned by a client,
must have been launched on the internet for the first time between 1st
January 2014 and 31st December 2015 (in the past 2 years).

Interest Voting: At all stages of judging, a jury may not

Awarding the Lotus Winners
will make the final decision on the allocation of Gold, Silver and Bronze Lotus
